V....Vaughan "Last Year on the Farm"
Saturday, July 19, 2008

On Saturday, July 19, 2008, Impressionist artist V....Vaughan joined the Gadsden Museum of Art to teach a Plein Air Workshop and for the opening reception of the museum's current exhibition of her paintings. During the day, twelve local artists joined V....Vaughan outside city hall to learn her techniques for plein air painting. Artists had the opportunity to work on two seperate plein air paintings as well as a "chicken clinic" in which Vaughan teaches a way to build a painting from single strokes of a rooster.

Saturday night, visitors, members, and our honored guest joined the museum for a picnic-style reception. Vaughan gave a gallery talk and refreshments were served by the Laureatte Eta chapter of Beta Sigma Phi.

The museum is excited to announce that V....Vaughan will be joining us again at the end of her exhibition for another workshop. Please check the website for updates on this upcoming event!
