Bringing the Museum Experience Into the Classroom
GMA is proud to present its new section of the website, Museum Education! In this section, you will find lesson plans and activities that can be used to prepare your class for their visit and/or as reinforcement inside the classroom. Also, there are a number of activities and websites locted at our GMA Kids site that may prove to be useful inside the classroom!
GMA's Education is a growing area, and we are pleased to announce the inclusion of a formal Internship Program. GMA has hosted numerous internships which have benefited the student and museum. Below, you will find more information about our internships.

Portable Museum Lessons Ready for Your Classroom!
We are excited to present our new educational outreach program - Traveling Trunks! There are three trunks now available to area educators on Etowah County, Ancient Egypt, and Mexico. Each trunk comes with artifacts, lesson plans, classroom visual aids, supplemental power points, maps, and classroom activities. While these lessons are suggested for K-8, some units may be appropriate for secondary educators. Click here to find out more about this program!
